We specialize in custom dock building, dock repairs, maintenance, and accessories installation for residential and commercial properties. Our services include designing and constructing docks, installing boat lifts, and ensuring your dock meets all safety and environmental regulations.

We provide dock building services to all areas of Ontario's Cottage Country, with locations in both Bancroft and Muskoka.

We have been proudly serving our community for over 20 years, delivering high-quality, durable docks tailored to our clients' needs.

Absolutely! Our team of experienced designers will work with you to create a custom dock design that meets your specific requirements and complements your property's shoreline.

We use a variety of high-quality materials.

We use only Techstar Floats under our floating docks. The #1 float manufacturer in the world made here in Canada. These floats also have a exclusive lifetime warranty.

We construct our docks as one solid unit, eliminating the weak points commonly found in our competitors “snap-together” dock configurations.

Every floating dock frame is built out of the highest-grade pressure-treated 2×8 construction. Over 50% of our header boards are covered in ½” Heavy-Duty Galvanized (HDG) Steel and ½” HDG fastening hardware. This ensures that your dock remains perfectly square.

Unlike our competition, who often use inferior 5/4” PT, our decking is made from kiln-dried, premium-grade 2×6 lumber from certified forests for sustainable forest management.

The timeline for building a dock varies based on the complexity of the design, size, and site conditions. When we provide you with your free quote, we will be able to tell you an approximate time-frame.

The cost of building a dock depends on factors such as size, design complexity, materials used, and site conditions. We provide free estimates after an initial consultation to give you a clear understanding of the projected costs.

You can request a free quote by filling out the Build Your Dream Dock form on our website, calling us at 1-877-565-0551, or emailing us at sales@cottagedocks.com. We will schedule a consultation to discuss your project and provide a detailed estimate.

The best dock depends heavily on your specific waterfront conditions. Floating docks are often great for deep or fluctuating water, while pipe/standing docks can be ideal for firmer bottoms and moderate depths. We assess your shoreline during our consultation to recommend the most suitable and stable option, whether it’s a floating, pipe, cantilever, or even a permanent crib style (where permitted).

Aluminum is lightweight, strong, durable, and requires minimal maintenance but can be hotter in direct sun. Wood (like cedar or pressure-treated pine) offers a classic look and feel but requires regular maintenance (staining/sealing). Composite decking provides a wood-like appearance with lower maintenance than wood and comes in various colours, though it can be heavier and sometimes more expensive upfront. We can discuss the pros and cons of each for your specific needs and budget.

Absolutely! We specialize in creating custom waterfront packages. Whether you need a specific shape (L-shape, T-shape, platform), multiple slips, or integrated features like benches or ramps, our team will work with you from concept to completion to design a dock that perfectly fits your property and lifestyle.  Please give us a call or fill out our Build Your Dream Dock form to get started.

Yes, Cottage Docks offers professional installation services for all the dock systems we sell. Proper installation is key to the safety, stability, and longevity of your dock.

Installation time varies depending on the type and size of the dock, site accessibility, and shoreline conditions. A standard pipe dock might be installed in a few hours, while a complex custom floating system could take a day or more. We provide a time estimate with your quote.

Lifespan depends on the dock type, materials, environmental conditions (ice, storms), and proper maintenance. A well-maintained aluminum frame dock can last for decades. Wood components may need replacing sooner depending on the type and upkeep. We use quality materials and construction techniques designed for longevity in our Canadian climate.

Yes, we offer a wide range of dock accessories to enhance the safety and usability of your dock, including ladders, swim rafts, bumpers, cleats, solar lights, and more. These can often be added during the initial installation or later on.

The best way to get an accurate quote is to contact us directly through our website form, email, or by calling one of our locations. We’ll typically discuss your needs, potentially schedule a site visit to assess your shoreline, and then provide a detailed quote for the recommended dock system and installation.

While our main locations are in Bancroft and Muskoka, our service area extends throughout the surrounding cottage country regions. Please contact us with your specific location, and we’ll confirm if we can service your property.
